Earth Day 2021 the plot of land was officially mine and a life long dream was about to be embarked on! My name is Cherie and this is the evolution of a Green Desert turned into a world class butterfly Sanctuary.
The garden attracted so many butterflies as soon as the grass was no longer mowed….aka a Green Desert. At the end of this first summer I could clearly see that this garden could in fact be a template for the survival of many butterfly species and because birds are dependent on the population health of butterflies their declining population could be helped as well.
